What are neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau & Xeomin)?:

Neuromodulators, such as Botox, are injectables that target dynamic lines and wrinkles. These types of creases form whenever you laugh, frown, squint, cry, or smile. Neuromodulators block the wrinkle-formation process through the use of chemical signals that temporarily prevent muscle contraction. The result is softer appearing facial features resulting in a more rested, youthful appearance.

At Lux Aesthetics we offer  neuromodulators including:

  • BOTOX

  • DYSPORT

  • XEOMIN

While each of these products do the same job, they each have small differences in the way they are formulated. After we know your medical history, your desired goal, and if you’ve had luck with neuromodulators in the past, your practitioner can help you decide which neurotoxin might be right for you.

What to expect during your neurotoxin appointment:

When treating fine lines and wrinkles, botulinum toxin is injected into targeted muscles on the face or neck. This temporarily relaxes the targeted muscles, causing fine lines and wrinkles to diminish.

Patients explain the feeling of injection as a tiny pinch, but not painful.

The effects last about 3 to 4 months.
